RCMP requesting public’s help in identifying young man

The male pedestrian has now been identified.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information regarding this incident is asked to call Big River RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Big River RCMP have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who was hit by a vehicle.

Police say the collision happened on August 3rd at around 3:00 a.m. on Highway 793 on Big River First Nation.

Big River RCMP and Big River EMS were called out to the scene where the driver of the vehicle remained until emergency services arrived.

The unidentified young man was airlifted to hospital with undetermined injuries.

His description is as follows:

  • Indigenous
  • Possibly in his 20’s
  • Wearing a grey faded New York Yankees baseball hat
  • Olive green checkered jacket
  • Black sweat pants
  • Tan brown – Timberland (Timber-dry) high top lace up boots
  • A gold watch
