Provincial government issues letter to feds for infrastructure funding owed through bilateral agreement

Premier Scott Moe is releasing a joint letter from ministers Warren Kaeding and Gord Wyant urging the federal government to release infrastructure funding designated to projects in Saskatchewan.

Of the $896 million in federal funding in the infrastructure bilateral agreement, $300 million is secured jointly by Regina and Saskatoon.

On the list of projects waiting for the funding include the Globe Theatre in Regina, Gordie Howe Bowl and the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan projects in Saskatoon.

According to the province, the federal government has been unresponsive when it comes to the funding, so they are requesting that the agreement be honoured and that Saskatchewan communities are given due consideration.
