Weston Dressler retires

One of the more popular Saskatchewan Roughriders is hanging up the helmet.

A report from the “Grand Forks Herald” says the former Rider receiver who played his university football at North Dakota is returning to his home state as he will be working as the senior community relations specialist for the Bismarck region of Sanford Health.

The report says Dressler will be working to build strong relationships in the communities Sanford serves in central and western North Dakota.

During an 11 year career spent between the Riders and Winnipeg, Dressler caught 715 passes for 10,026 yards and 61 touchdowns in 161 regular-season games.  He won a Grey Cup with the Riders in 2013 and was named the CFL’s top rookie in 2008.
