Garth Brooks is ready to take the stage at Mosaic Stadium, and here’s what concert goers need to know beforehand

Garth Brooks is set to play Mosaic Stadium’s two largest concerts to date.

The first of two Garth Brooks concerts in Regina goes Friday night from Mosaic Stadium.

Concert goers will have easy access to and from the event, with chartered city buses running from numerous locations around the queen city.

Evraz Place President and CEO Tim Reid said like Riders games, the shuttle buses will be free to use.

Reid said they also want to stress there is a clear bag policy in effect.

“So I think for those that aren’t accustomed to it clear bags are for sale, you can come down to the exhibition association, you can go to the Riders Store, or if you wanna simply take a Ziplock bag from home you can do that too,” Reid said. “There is clear bag opportunities everywhere today, so if you do have an opportunity either buy on site or in advance, but we are making the clear bag policy mandatory,” said Reid.

Traffic restrictions will also be in place beginning at 3:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again at 10:30 p.m. following the concerts.

Reid said no matter how you plan on getting to the show, please come early.

“The real big suggestion that we’re giving to the community is to just come early,” said Reid. “Give yourself some extra time because there’s going to be lots of people, and secondly we can’t stress enough there is a clear bag policy,” Reid continued. “We just want to make sure that we do everything possible to make it a fun night for everyone in attendance,” Reid said.

Doors open for both shows at 5:00 p.m. with Brooks taking the stage shortly after 7:00 p.m.
