(Jamie) A Great Way To Wrap Up A Vacation

Well, that’s it for vacation time this year. With a couple of days left in the bank I won’t see anything longer than a few more long weekends until 2020 rolls around!

I wrapped up my wonderful week off with a terrific night at Garth Brooks on Saturday. All week long my wife and I were watching the weather to see what we would be up against at the show when it came to Mother Nature. For the week leading up to the show the forecast was calling for sunshine for the Friday show and rain for our night. Every time we checked the extended forecast we were wishing we had tickets the first show. Funny how things turn out sometimes.

Before the show on Saturday my wife and I were part of a meet and greet with the legend himself. There were 8 of us gathered in a room when suddenly the door swung open and in walked Garth Brooks. He introduced himself before pulling up a chair and sitting down with us for at least 20 minutes, shooting the breeze. After that was done it was photo time.

I’ve been to a lot of meets and greets. Trust me, this is not how they normally go. Usually fans are herded in like cattle and rushed into position for a quick handshake and photo. This was, by far, the best one I have ever attended.

I can’t think of a better way to cap off a terrific vacation week.

I won’t get another week off now until our Flea Trip to Varadero, Cuba in February. I don’t have a calendar handy as I write this blog, so I have no idea haw many sleeps that translates into, but I know it’s a lot!
