Pats and 620 CKRM renew radio rights for next three seasons

If you are a Regina Pats fan, 620 CKRM will continue to be the place to be on game-night.

On Monday afternoon, the hockey team and this radio station announced a three-year contract extension has been signed meaning the relationship between the two sides which started again in 1994 after a brief hiatus will continue.

During an appearance on Saskatchewan’s #1 sports show, the Sportscage, Pats Chief Operating Officer Stacey Cattell says this is an exciting time for the club.

“It’s a no-brainer for us.” Cattell said. “It’s not just the play-by-play.  The marketing team and the sales team have been phenomenal in helping us promote the team over the years.  We are excited to have this partnership continue.”

It is also a relationship Harvard Broadcasting, the owners of 620 CKRM, cherishes.

“Hockey in this province is so huge and the WHL has seen so many players turn into NHL’ers” Harvard General Manager Jason Huschi stated. “This is the best hockey you will find in Saskatchewan and we are glad to be a part of it by continuing with the organization.”

All 68 regular season games and playoff games will be heard on 620 CKRM or online at CKRM2 with some pre-season games to be broadcast as well.

Training camp begins on the 22nd with the regular season starting September 20.
