Regina Police deploy taser on suspect in north central

Regina Police had to use a taser gun in order to arrest a 30 year-old man who engaged in a physical struggle with officers.

The incident took place at the 900 block of Robinson street Wednesday night at about 7:45. Officers arrived at the scene and spotted the suspect entering a stolen vehicle. When police attempted to stop the suspect, the taser was used.

After the man was hit with the taser, he did put the vehicle in motion, crashing into a tree. The suspect was then  arrested, treated by EMS, and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
