Suspect in Tiki Laverdiere murder arrested in Edmonton

RCMP have found another suspect in relation to the Tiki Laverdiere murder.

31 year-old Nikita Cook was wanted for first degree murder and kidnapping charges, and was arrested in Edmonton without incident.

Cook will appear in North Battleford Provincial court on Monday morning.


RCMP say the investigation is still ongoing, despite a total of eight people facing charges in the death of Laverdiere.

The victim was in the North Battleford area for a funeral when she disappeared. RCMP found her remains in a rural area outside of North Battleford three months after she went missing.
