Twenty-five-year-old killed in collision near Carrot River on Monday

RCMP say a 25-year-old man was killed in a two vehicle collision five miles west of Carrot River on Monday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 789, where they said a 1990 Dodge Dakota being driven by the deceased collided with a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder being driven by a 27-year-old man.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead while en route to hospital, the 27-year-old driving the Nissan was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been laid.

Carrot River is about 118 kilometers northeast of Melfort.
