Lauther, Leonard return to the lineup when Riders face Ottawa

Two familiar faces will be back in the lineup for the Saskatchewan Roughriders when they face the Ottawa Redblacks.

Kicker Brett Lauther, who has been out since week three with groin and hip injuries, returns this week and will handle field goal and kick-off duties.

A.C. Leonard also returns much sooner than expected. The defensive lineman who spent last season with the Redblacks was put on the six-game injured list before the Riders’ 17-10 win over Montreal on August 9th.

Albert Awachie will also play this week for the green and white. He is coming off of the six-game injury list this week.

Out of the lineup for the Riders includes linebacker Sam Hurl, kicker Gabe Ferraro, and defensive lineman Lavar Edwards.

For the Redblacks, they will be without Devonte Dedmon, who has been placed on the six-game injury list. The receiver/returner has been explosive returning kicks, with one punt return touchdown and one kickoff return touchdown so far this season.

The Redblacks are also swapping running backs for this game, as Mossis Madu checks in while John Crockett has been placed on the one-game injury list.
