Mother of missing Yorkton girl says tips are always encouraging after possible sighting in Edmonton

News of unconfirmed sightings of a missing now 20-year-old Yorkton woman in Edmonton is bittersweet for Mekayla Bali’s family.

Her mother Paula said she was called August 8th by a man who claims to have met Mekayla this past March.

“So there’s been quite a time lapse in between the sighting and it being reported because he did not realize she’s potentially a missing person,” Bali said.

She added the family is always pleased when tips and information come in.
