The family of the man killed in an RCMP involved shooting on the Fishing Lake First Nation Tuesday afternoon has been identified as Lucien Silverquill.
Around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wadena RCMP responded to a report of a man with a knife in front of a home on the First Nation.
An RCMP news release stated one of the two responding officers fired their weapon injuring Silverquill, EMS attended the scene but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Moose Jaw Police are conducting an independent investigation.
