Federal government provides $200,000 for Regina Multicultural Council

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale announced $200,000 in funding today for the Regina Multicultural Council.

The funds will support the development of a cultural awareness program, engage indigenous and ethnocultural resource workers and provide instructional and learning resources to middle year classrooms in Regina.

More than 60 schools in the queen city will be invited to take part in the project.

The Regina Multicultural Council was first established in 1965 as the Regina Folk Arts Council.
