A man is recovering in hospital from serious injuries after an incident that happened early Monday in Regina.

Police were dispatched after 12:20 a.m. to the 1600 block of Toronto Street after receiving a report of a weapons offence.

Officers located the man in the area and he was immediately transported to hospital by EMS.

Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time. However they are asking the public to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers if anyone has information regarding this incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
