The Regina Police Service is looking for information on an attempted home invasion.

Police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Broder Street at about 7:30 Tuesday morning.

Preliminary investigation shows a man tried to enter the house by using a hatchet to break windows and damage the front door, but the man was denied entry by the resident.

The suspect then fled south into an alley.
