An 18 year old man is facing assault with a weapon, and other weapons charges, after another 18 year old was injured.

The Regina Police Service was called to the 700 block of Cameron Street for a report of a man with injuries after an assault early Monday morning.

Police say the assault actually happened on the 900 block of Elphinstone Street where officers found a man who was detained on outstanding warrants .

He was also found in possession of what appeared to be a sawed-off firearm and a number of imitation firearms.

Maddison Blueeyes was arrested without incident and faces five charges including assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

RPS says he made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
