Regina Police have arrested eight suspects involved in three separate incidents of auto and identity thefts over the past week or so.
In each event the suspects have been charged.
First on August 30th police learned the location of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stolen off a farm near Sedley earlier in the month.
RPS. investigation revealed a plate from a vehicle in Moose Jaw was placed on the Jeep, the vehicle was found near 4th Avenue and Pasqua Street along with identity documents from a street robbery victim that took place August 11th.
The second set of arrests took place August 31st when police recovered a GMC Terrian that had been taken from a home earlier that day, once again identity documents were recovered.
The third incident was on September 1st when an officer located a stolen vehicle, again a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, the suspects were arrested on the 700 block of Victoria Avenue where more identity documents were recovered along with stolen credit cards.
In total police arrested and charged eight people including a 16-year-old girl.
The suspects and the charges against them are listed below;
Fifty year-old Robert Louis RACINE, of Balcarres, Saskatchewan, is charged with:- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000, 2 x Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 and- 4 x Driving While Prohibited.
Twenty-four year-old Cree Summer STRONGARM, of Regina, is charged with:- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000, 2 x Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 and- Possession of identity Documents.
Twenty-nine year-old T’na HTOO (male), of no fixed address, is charged with:- Break, Enter and Commit Theft, Theft of Motor Vehicle over $5,000, Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 and- 2 x Breach of Probation.
Thirty-one year-old Justin Tyler WALCHUK, of Regina, is charged with:- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace and- Carry Concealed Weapon.
Thirty-five year-old Thomas Adam STEVENSON, of Regina, is charged with:- Possession of Identity Documents and- Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000.
Forty year-old Crystal DESNOMIE, of Regina, is facing a total of 36 charges:- Theft of Motor Vehicle, 19 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (vehicle, license plates, mail, cheques), 10 x Possession of an Identity Document, 5 x Possession of Stolen Credit Card and- Breach of Undertaking.
Forty-five year-old Campbell Thomas BELLEGARDE, of Regina, is charged with – Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (vehicle) and- Breach of Undertaking.
The 16-year-old girl can’t be named due to her age.
