Man arrested for pointing gun at person who refused to buy garden tractor

A 34-year-old man wanted for pointing a handgun at another man who refused to buy a garden tractor, has been arrested by Regina Police.

Thirty-four-year-old Harold Joseph Hanson is accused of pulling a handgun on a 33-year-old man, after he refused to buy a garden tractor he did not inquire about on the back of a truck this past Sunday.

Hanson is facing a total of eight charges, including resisting arrest and possession of a firearm obtained by crime.

Police located Hanson in his truck in north central Regina on Monday, where he attempted to evade officers by leaving the truck in an alley near the 1400 block of Wascana Street and fleeing on foot.

Officers were forced to use their taser to take Hanson into custody.

He’ll make his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
