Rosthern RCMP say a 16-year-old girl is dead after a house fire on the Beardy’s First Nation Sunday afternoon.

Police say at this point they believe the girl was the only victim of the fire.

The identity of the victim will be will be confirmed on Tuesday by an autopsy.

Police say the cause of the fire and the circumstances leading up to it remain under investigation.
