Flames, Jets reveal jerseys for Heritage Classic

Hockey fans planning on attending or viewing the 2019 Heritage Classic from Mosaic Stadium in Regina now know what the players will be wearing on the ice for the game.

Both the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets unveiled their threads on Friday for the outdoor game.

The Flames were the first team to introduce their uniform of choice on Friday morning. They’ll be hitting the ice with their vintage white jersey with red and yellow trim.

As for the Jets, they drew inspiration from their blue jersey they wore back in the 1970s. Winnipeg made the announcement on Friday evening.

The Jets and the Flames aren’t the only Canadian teams who have released new jerseys prior to the start of the 2019-2020 National Hockey League season.

A couple days ago, the Edmonton Oilers announced they’ll be wearing an alternate uniform this season. During the summer, the Vancouver Canucks announced they’ll have a pair of alternate jerseys this season to help celebrate their 50th anniversary in the NHL.

The Heritage Classic is on October 26 from Regina.
