Police arrest man who pulled out firearm while breaking into vehicle

Regina police were dispatched Friday night to an area in northwest Regina where a man was breaking into a vehicle and threatened an individual with a gun.

Police received the report at around 11:50 p.m. and were sent to the 800 block of Grace Street.

A resident approached a man who was trying to break into a vehicle. The suspect pulled out a firearm when confronted by the individual and left the scene on foot.

Patrol and K9 members began their search within minutes of receiving the complaint. They found a suspect who matched the description of the man in the area of 3rd Avenue and Grey Street.

He was taken into custody and this investigation is ongoing.
