Broadview Union Hospital emergency rooms remaining closed indefinitely

Broadview Union Hospital’s emergency room will stay closed for the foreseeable future according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

In a news release, the SHA says due to a lack of consistent lab, diagnostic and physician services at the hospital, emergency and acute care services will not be available longer than expected.

The SHA had previous announced intentions to close down the emergency department temporarily between August 30th to September 16th.

The health authority is still actively recruiting doctors and lab X-ray technicians. Meanwhile, the SHA advises residents to call 9-1-1 if they are having an emergency.
