Pats head coach Dave Struch named to team WHL coaching staff for Canada-Russia series

The WHL has announced their coaching staff for the upcoming Canada Russia series between the best the Canadian Hockey League has to offer and the Russian Junior hockey program.

Regina Pats head coach Dave Struch will be behind the bench for team WHL, as he will serve as an assistant coach.

Saskatoon Blades head coach Mitch Love will serve as the WHL’s head coach, while Prince Albert Raiders head coach Marc Habscheid will also serve as an assistant.

Struch, who is entering his second season as head coach of the Pats, previously served as an assistant coach for Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 team at the IIHF U18 World Championship in Sweden this past April, and has also served as head coach of Team Canada Black at the 2017 World Hockey Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Team WHL will face the Russians on November 13 in Saskatoon, then again on November 14 in Prince Albert.
