Two firearm incidents early Tuesday morning in north-Central keep Regina police busy

Regina police are asking for your help as they investigate a pair of firearm incidents in north-Central early Tuesday morning.

Around 5:45, police were sent to a home on the 800 block of Athol Street after getting a report of a weapons offence.

They say the occupants of the home woke up to banging on the front door and saw three masked suspects through a window. When asked to identify themselves, one demanded entry to the home and showed a gun.

He was not given entry and the suspects left in what is described as a silver coloured Honday with a loud muffler.

One of the suspects was wearing glasses while another was wearing a white jacket.

Just a few moments later on the 1300 block of Robinson, police went to a home after getting a report that two men had pushed their way inside looking for two women. One of the people inside was assaulted with a firearm being shown.

The suspect who was armed was wearing a bandana over his face.

Police do not think at this time that the two events were related even though they happened close to one another around the same time.
