Voter information cards should be in your mailbox this week

If you are a registered voter, you should be getting a card telling you all the information you need to know when it comes to what to do on election day which is Monday, October 21.

Marie-France Kenny of Elections Canada says cards have been put in the mail and they should be in your mailbox by Friday.

Kenny says those who weren’t eligible to vote the last time, those who have changed their gender or those who have changed their name by marriage or something else will have to register. She adds you should look at the card upon receipt to make sure all information is correct and that you can take the card with you when voting as a piece of identifcation.

You can register or update online or by contacting your local Elections Canada office.
