Saskatchewan’s Party last annual convention before 2020 provincial election goes in Regina this weekend

Saskatchewan Party members from across the province have converged at Evraz Place for the party’s annual convention which goes on Saturday.

Executive director Patrick Bundrock says with this being the last convention before the next provincial election, it will be a chance to make sure everyone is on the same page with a lot of positive energy being displayed. He adds it will be a reminder not to be complacent even though the party has a sizable advantage over Ryan Meili and the NDP in the provincial legislature.

“We will be introducing the majority of our 2020 team.” Bundrock said. “We have nominated 47 of 61 candidates and we will introduce them as well as do some other things at what I think will be an energy-packed convention.”

The convention will be wrapped up with a speech from Premier Moe. It is expected that address will be one that outlines his vision for the next year and gets delegates fired up for the upcoming campaign.  The speech will also be the first one Moe has given since winning the leadership race to replace Brad Wall and become Premier almost two years ago.
