Reginans gather for RaiseHER leadership conference at Conexus Arts Centre

A community to support women in the Queen City is launching in Regina on Sunday with a conference.

The RaiseHER community is a support and empowerment group in the city to encourage and help women meet their full potential. Men and women will be gathering at the Conexus Arts Centre for the leadership workshop.

“Because we’re a small city, we have so much potential to support and buy-in together and make a real change, whereas it’s harder to do that in larger cities,” said co-founder of RaiseHER Skylar Gerard.

The full-day workshop features topics like mentoring, empowerment and resilience hosted by 14 local leaders.

Gerard said it’s also where the group will be launching it’s membership program.

“Membership provides the user with professional and personal development tools, resources and practice opportunities,” she added. “It provides an opportunity for purposeful networking and belonging to network of like-minded women.”

Gerard mentioned that memberships also provide discounts and services with business partners, many ran by women.

Memberships are now available online at their website.
