Loblaw Companies has announced the recall of one of its infant formulas.
The President’s Choice brand Lower Iron milk-based powdered infant formula, is being taken off shelves because of possible contamination by Cronobacter bacteria.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the product was sold in stores nationwide in 900-gram packages, with a best before date of August 29, 2021.
No illnesses have been linked to the possible contamination.
Cronobacter is not commonly linked to human illness, but in rare cases it can cause serious or even fatal infections.
