Police investigating after Regina cab driver robbed at gun point

Regina Police are looking for two suspects after a cab driver was robbed at gun point early Wednesday morning.

Just before 3:00 a.m. police received a report of the robbery that took place on the 1900 block of Montreal Street.

The 39-year-old man driving the cab was stopped on the side of the street dropping off a woman between 16 and 18 years of age.

A man that police say was between 20-22 approached the front passenger side of the cab and opened the front door.

The suspect had a firearm and demanded money.

The 39-year-old cab driver handed over a small amount of cash before the two suspects fled on foot.

Both suspects are said to be or appeared to be Indigenous.

The woman was said to be around 5’8″ with a tattoo on her left cheek, she was wearing a black jacket and white backpack.

No other description is available for the man who allegedly pointed the firearm.

The cab driver was not injured.
