My wife and I had some running around to do last Saturday morning and hit of few of the hardware stores to find what we were looking for.

When we got to Lowe’s we walked in the front doors and straight into their Christmas tree display. If their plan was to make sure you didn’t miss it, they nailed it. You’d have to be blind not to notice. We weren’t even half way through October yet, and there they were, in all of their glory, lit up like it was December 25th! At least I didn’t hear any Christmas music blaring through the speakers.

I’m so glad our granddaughters weren’t with us. It’s all we would have heard about for the next 2 1/2 months. I already had one of the girls make up her Christmas list a couple of weeks ago!

Let’s slow this ship down a bit. There’s plenty of time to get ready for Christmas. I haven’t even bought any Halloween candy yet!
