More than ever, we have pockets of time that can be identified as missing from our day. The moments that are non-productive. You come home from work and don’t jump into another project but end up sitting looking at your phone.
Searching! Looking! Watching videos, reading texts, just useless things, generally. Whatever happened to just looking up a number, calling the place to get details. Nah, that probably won’t happen! Why? Because the person on the other end is either a computer generated voice, a call centre half way across the globe or generally just someone that is clueless.
Monday, I turned TV on. There was sound, but the picture was so dark it was unwatchable. Where do you start; I tried adjusting the colours? That proved to be the simplest answer, however there was one more thing. So, I need to take you back a month. SaskTel walked me through the issues I had with Netflixs and my TV, including resetting the password. SMART TV my bleep!! Now with working knowledge of re-setting the TV, I was up for the challenge. What I thought would be the easiest fix had me messing around for an hour plus! Then I hit the re-set button. Now I’m in panic mode, what if I can’t remember my password! ugh. NOT GOING TO WAIT ON HOLD AGAIN!!!
PRESTO! The television starts buffering all the stations, downloading this and that and success. The picture comes on clear as a bell!!
Finally I can get on with the afternoon! Just 90 minutes of wasting time dealing with something so simple, everything was clear as a bell! Write the password down so it is handy and never fear re-booting the TV.
Whatever seems to be stealing your time, beware of this. Keep your passwords close at hand that might be the key!
