Meachem rink carries Saskatchewan colours into Canadian Mixed Curling Championship

 

The first Canadian curling championship of the season starts Sunday in Saguenay, Quebec as the 2019 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship gets underway.

Saskatchewan is represented by the Shawn Meachem rink from Swift Current consisting of Meachem, third Kelly Schaefer, second Chris Haichert and lead Teejay Haichert.  The Haicherts were members of the 2015 team skipped by Max Kirkpatrick that won the Canadian title.

The winner of the gold-medal game will wear the Maple Leaf at the 2020 World Mixed Curling Championship next October.
