Province names new advocate for children and youth

A new provincial advocate for children and youth has been appointed following the suspension and resignation of the predecessor.

The Saskatchewan government has announced that Lisa Broda will be taking over the role.

A new release says Broda has a background in sociology and has 25 years of experience in leadership, community engagement and research.

The province says Broda previously served as Saskatchewan’s deputy children and youth advocate.

The position was left open in June after Corey O’Soup was suspended from his duties after complaints of harassment and he subsequently stepped down.
