Serious weather problems have prompted Farm Credit Canada to offer special support to farmers.

Operations vice president Darrin Howden says his lending agency is offering to help farmers facing financial hardships on a case by case basis.

Howden says FCC will consider several financing options, including loan payment deferrals or loan restructuring to help farmers with money difficulties.

Howden stresses the importance of keeping the lines of communication open with lenders to ensure all options can be explored.
