Four apprehended in stolen vehicle: RPS

Two men are facing charges after a stolen vehicle was found on Tuesday.

The Regina Police Service says at about 2:00pm officers in plain clothes and an unmarked vehicle noticed a car that matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen on Sunday.

After confirming it was the stolen Toyota Yaris, officers kept the vehicle in sight whaile it made a few stops.

Police say the vehicle stopped at a building on the 2100 block of 13th Avenue where all four people in the car were arrested without incident.

The wallet and identification belonging to the registered car owner were found during the arrest.

RPS says the 33-year-old driver was charged, a 37-year-old man was found in possession of possible methamphetamine, a woman was released with no charge and a 31-year-old woman was arrested on an unrelated, outstanding warrant.

Thirty-three-year-old Nam Nguyen is facing four charges including theft of motor vehicle and possession of identification documents. He made his first court appearance on Wednesday.

Police say 37-year-old Devin Engel is charged with possession of a scheduled substance and breach of probation. He will make his first court appearance on December 18th.
