A suspect has been taken in by police in Moose Jaw following a stabbing that resulted in a death on Sunday night.
Officers were sent to the 400 block of Stadacona St. East at 10:08 p.m. after receiving a call of a disturbance.
Police found a man had been stabbed and EMS transported the victim to Dr. F.H. Wigmore Hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, resulting in Moose Jaw’s first murder of the year.
Since a suspect is in custody, the Moose Jaw Police Service believes there is no further danger to the public regarding this incident.
The victim’s name will not be released at this time until the notification of next of kin.
The investigation is still in its early stages.
