This morning on my way to work I noticed a guy walking down the street wearing a reflective jacket. He was tough to miss, which I guess is what he wanted. He certainly didn’t look like he was off to work anywhere, and if he was, he was obviously going to get there with a lot of time to spare. I thought to myself, “Hey, that’s not such a bad idea.” I don’t know if I’d wear one, but, better safe than sorry!
One of the first things I do when I come into work is head into the lunch room and brew myself a pot of coffee. It’s pretty simple. Grab a filter, grind some beans, and hit a button. Within 10 minutes I’ve got a nice fresh coffee in my hand while I get all of my work done. On doctor’s orders I’m down to two cups a day and I look very forward to that first one at 3 AM. Can you believe that my doctor thought that 10-12 cups of coffee a day wasn’t a good idea? What a party pooper!
This morning when I went to make the coffee I noticed someone had turned the machine off sometime yesterday. I have no idea why someone would have done that. First, the Leafs fire Babcock. Now this? What’s this world coming to?
That meant I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for my first cup of java. I know it doesn’t seem like a long time, but that’s an eternity to a coffee drinker who’s dying for that first cup.
Oh well, if that’s the worst thing that happens to me today, it’s going to be a pretty good day!
