We are now getting details of an accident that closed Highway 39 near the Saskatchewan-North Dakota border for most of Thursday
Estevan RCMP say one semi was travelling from North Portal just after 4 AM when the truck jack-knifed. Shortly after, a second semi collided with the first one splitting the trailer from the tractor with a third semi then coming on scene colliding with the second semi. That resulted in the 3rd semi starting on fire.
There were no serious injuries with three of the four people involved taken to Estevan hospital to get checked over.
The highway was icy and visibility was low due to fog at the time.
