Agriculture Minister David Marit has announced renewed funding of $100,000 for the Agribition Agriculture Mentorship program.

Marit says the program offers an 18 month mentorship program to train the youth of today to be farm and community leaders of tomorrow.

He says the mentorship experience includes business education, industry knowledge and social connections.

The program is funded by the federal and provincial governments and was launched last year.

Marit spoke to reporters at the opening of Agribition Monday.

He was involved with the official “Burning of the Brand” at Agribition.
