The Regina Pats will keep their late-November road trip going Wednesday when they visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The Pats go into the game with a two game winning streak, their first of the season. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes have been explosive this season, and are coming off of an 11-2 win over Red Deer on Saturday.
Pats goaltender Max Paddock said they’ve had success against Lethbridge when they play hard and physical with them.
“We lost 2-1 to them last time we were there and I think dating back to last year we won in a shootout, so we’ve always played them pretty hard and we’ll have to continue that,” Paddock said. “They’re a good team, they’ve got some good skilled guys, good high-end guys, so not giving them that much time and space would definitely help limit their opportunities.”
Pats forward Robbie Holmes said it would be a good momentum boost to come out of tonight’s game with a win.
“We play a pretty highly-skilled there in Lethbridge, and we got to limit their chances, and play good in our D zone, and go from there.”
Pats Head Coach Dave Struch said Lethbridge is a very talented club.
“They got three-or-four guys that are at the top of the food chain, they’re playing with a lot of confidence obviously,” Struch said. “We know that they’re going to have some offence, but we’ve also played very well without the puck this year to get the puck to create our offence.”
The game can be heard on 620 CKRM Wednesday night. Opening faceoff is 8:00 p.m., the pregame show begins at 7:35 p.m.
