Regina Police search warrant leads to 65 weapons and drug charges for three

A 23-year-old and 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old teen are facing a slew of weapons and drug charges after Regina Police conducted a search warrant Wednesday evening.

Just before 7:00 p.m. officers executed the warrant on the 200 block of Broad Street.

Officers say they recovered a number of firearms along with an undisclosed amount of illicit drugs.

Twenty-three-year-old Tyson Ray and 18-year-old Rueban Nahbexie, are both facing a total of 40 charges, including six counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and 12 counts of possession of a weapon that was prohibited to them.

The 17-year-old who cannot be named is facing a total of 25 charges, including five counts of careless storage of a firearm and five counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

All three of the accused will be in court at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
