The latest statistics from the Canadian Grain Commission show much of the prairie spring wheat crop has been combined in the top two grades.
Chief Commissioner Patti Miller says over 7,000 samples have been submitted so far this fall.
She says the samples show 31 percent of the spring wheat is number 1, 42 percent is number 2 and 16 percent is number 3.
For durum, 26 percent is number 1, and 24 percent number 2.
She adds 85 percent of canola samples are number one.
But she says there are concerns around sprout and kernel damage from the wet harvest.
Miller says farmers can receive an idea of sprout and kernel damage by submitting harvest samples to the grain commission.
Miller says the deadline to submit fall harvest samples to the Grain Commission has been extended to the end of December because of the late harvest.
