SJHL partners with STARS

A hockey league whose teams put on many highway miles and had a team involved in a tragic bus accident is supporting STARS with a 50-50 lottery. The STARS/SJHL 50-50 Lottery will continue through the rest of this hockey season.

Each team will host a STARS game night where tickets will be sold. Half of the proceeds will go to the ticket winner and the other half will be divided between STARS and the hockey league.

It was April 6th of 2018 that the Humboldt Broncos bus was hit by a semi, killing 16 people and injuring 13 others.

President of the SJHL, Bill Chow, says STARS has saved many lives with their ambulance service and he helps this partnership will help to raise the funds needed to replace the air ambulance fleet in Saskatchewan. Last year, STARS flew 812 missions in Saskatchewan. Tickets can be purchased at the games or online.
