La Ronge RCMP are investigating the location of a dead indigenous woman just north of the community on highway 102.

The woman, who appears to be between 20 to 30 years of age, was located Monday morning at 5:30 and has not been identified. She had shoulder-length brown hair and was wearing a blue Toronto Blue Jays hoodie and green sweat pants.

Major Crimes and Forensic units are both at the scene, along with La Ronge RCMP. The highway is open, but will be restricted to one lane for several hours.
