Two Regina men facing charges for drug possession and vehicle theft

Regina Police have charged a pair of men in connection to a stolen vehicle and drug possession investigation that began on Sunday night.

Just after 9:30, police observed a reported stolen vehicle with a non-matching licence plate that was also reported stolen. It was driving at a high rate of speed on 5th Avenue.

Police followed the vehicle as it traveled north into oncoming traffic on the 600 block of Broad Street, before leaving the vehicle on the 500 block of Cornwall Street.

Police found one of the suspects at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Rose Street, and the other suspect was located by a K9 tracking search.

Police found four different substances in the stolen vehicle, two of which believed to be cocaine and fentanyl. It was also learned that one of the suspects is wanted on warrants by the RCMP.

29 year-old Justin DeJong and 27 year-old Scott Pelletier face a combined total of nine charges, including dangerous driving, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a scheduled substance.
