DL Chad Geter signs contract extension with Riders

Chad Geter won’t be going to free agency in February.

The Riders have announced they have signed the 6’2, 253 pound defensive lineman to a two-year contract extension meaning he will stay with the club through the end of the 2021 season.

Geter’s CFL career started in Saskatchewan in April of 2018.  He played all 18 games in the 2018 season registering 19 tackles and three sacks, but he was let go at the end of training camp.

He signed with Montreal, but after being released by them, the 25-year-old  came back to the club and played in six games where he had nine tackles and three sacks.
