Clark inks two-year extension with Riders

A local boy is locked in for two more years with the Roughriders.

The organization announced on Friday morning that centre Dan Clark has penned a two-year contract extension that will go through the 2021 season.

When discussing his extension over the phone, Clark said he has unfinished business since he wants to help bring a championship to Saskatchewan when Regina hosts the Grey Cup next year.

“The way we ended last year left a sour taste for people around the stadium and people in the locker room,” he shared. “We want to take that and build on it to allow us to make that run.”

Born and raised in Regina, Clark was named a CFL All-Star last season for the first time in his eight-year career. He was also given the honour of Most Outstanding Lineman on the Riders.

The 31-year-old has played 112 career regular season games, six playoff games and was part of the team that hoisted the 2013 Grey Cup.
