Rescue personnel spent much of Monday afternoon at the CN Railyard near McIntosh and First Avenue North after a man’s leg got caught in some equipment.
The call came in just before 1 o’clock with Regina Fire saying the man was off-loading grain from a semi-trailer into a hopper car when he somehow became entangled in a grain auger.
The fire department says it took around 45 minutes to free the man, but he did suffer what are said to be serious injuries.
