Crime watch advisory issued for western Sask. communities

A crime watch advisory has been issued after a string of break-ins in multiple communities west of Saskatoon.

The Biggar RCMP detachment says as of now, the spree has hit Unity, Lashburn, Paynton, Kerrobert and Biggar.

Police say in Biggar a couple of suspects came into town with a white truck, pulling an empty flatbed trailer, and broke into the arena and grocery stores.

Video surveillance from the arena showed the same truck and trailer that had been at the scene of the Lashburn post office break-in the night before.

Police believe the suspects have already stolen about $20,000 in goods and are targeting specific businesses.

If you see anything suspicious, you are asked to call police.
