What would you do if you won tonight’s big jackpot?

That is the big question everybody has been asking around our office and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the big question at offices and homes across the country today. What would I do if I won the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot? I might consider some minor home renovations, but overall I wouldn’t change my life a whole lot over it and some might even consider my answer a little boring, but that’s OK.

First off, I’m part of an office pool which means I wouldn’t win the full 70 million if, for some reason, we had the magic numbers. Having said that, it would still be a good chunk of change after it gets split amongst everybody at work. I’d just tuck those winnings away for retirement down the road or for a rainy day fund to help with emergencies or family health scares. Even having 3 million tucked away at the age of 33 is a comfortable feeling knowing that retirement is possible down the road (and hopefully VERY far down the road).

Secondly, even if I did win the full jackpot, I’d change nothing except some of that money would have to go back into the community through charities and organizations that do great work helping others in our city. That would be the most rewarding part of the big win…knowing you can actually help others in a significant way.

Some say they’d quite their job if they won the big jackpot and depending on one’s age, I suppose that would be a fun possibility. Not me, I’m too young to quit this job and I don’t think I could anyway! Without question I have one of the most fun jobs anybody could do because I get to talk to you everyday, play my favorite music, talk about the things in the world, and meet interesting and fascinating people all the time. It’s hard to walk away from a job like that even with 70 million dollars!

Good luck to you if you bought a ticket for tonight’s Lotto Max draw. If you happen to win the big one, just remember one thing. Don’t let the money go to your head. Be the same great friend, co-worker, and family member you always are because at the end of the day money can’t replace good friends. Good luck and happy Friday!
